The Hoover Dam is one of America's most famous landmarks and only a few miles away from Boulder City. Built between 1931 and 1936, the Hoover (formerly Boulder) Dam is perhaps the greatest feat of engineering to come out of the Great Depression.

The Hoover Dam stretches across the Colorado River and impounds beautiful Lake Mead and provides electricity to Nevada, Arizona and California.
