Lake Mead
March 1998

Spring comes in fits and starts to the desert. Cold and rainy, hot and bright. The sun grows stronger and shadows sharper, with a wash of green covering the hills. And over it all, lingers the rich scent of moist earth, spicy creosote scrub and life renewed.
