Fisher Space Pen Co., a local, family-owned company based in Boulder City, makers of the iconic “Astronaut” pen, will co-host a field trip for 100 students from the Clark County School District to visit Las Vegas’ Eclipse Theatres for a screening of Big & Digital’s space films as part of its Cinema Learning Challenge initiative (CLC). The field trip is in collaboration with the Career and Technical Education Department of the Clark County School District.
CLC is created by Big & Digital to support classroom studies for STEM and Literature/Life science subjects specifically for Clark County students. CLC combines a film-viewing field trip with an in-theater educational activity or guest speaker component. Each film includes an Educator’s Guide filled with activities connected to the film content and supports Nevada Curriculum Standards.
