Last night, Evan and his crew served their last meals and drinks at Evan’s Old Town Grille and a full crowd of local diners said goodbye to this favorite restaurant.
We told you a month ago HERE of owners Evan and Vicki Lathouris plans to retire and enjoy some well-earned relaxation in life. Exactly what will replace this beloved spot is still in the works, as new owners Grant Turner and Bret Runion are still evaluating options, although we’re told, are close to an announcement.
They will begin a facelift on the location almost immediately. Also note, that as many of the employees who wish to remain on with the new eatery will do so. That was an important element to the transition for Evan – that their staff be welcomed in the new venture.
But today we’d like to simply say ‘Goodbye’ to Evan’s Old Town Grille, and we asked you to share your stories of special memories you have had at Evan’s over the years. Here’s what you’ve had to say:
Nicole T. – Evan’s catered our wedding back in 2017, and they did an amazing job. Every time we’ve come in since then, someone always says, “Hey, we worked your wedding! We loved it!” We’re going to miss that. This has been our go-to place for date nights and to take visiting friends and family. Thank you so much for your friendly, personable service. We wish you all the best in retirement, and know that your chicken southern, rib eye, and baklava will be sorely missed!
J. Carboni – Evans has always been a treasured gem in our family. For the past 23 years, my grandparents, my father, and I ALWAYS celebrated my grandparents birthdays and anniversaries at Evans. Their most favorite dish is the Chicken Angelo and they are truly sad to see it go. Thank you for the countless memories, delicious food, and creating such an exquisite place for my family and I to come together and celebrate magical moments for the past few decades. Evans will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything! Sincerely, The Carboni’s.
Marta T. – Great memories, Evan and crew. You will be missed. Thank you for excellence and splendid hospitality!
Wendy F. – I will cherish the memories. Sad to see them go but happy they are able to retire. Thank you Evan and Vicki for the good food and friendship over the years!! Have a beautiful blessed retirement.
