Kim Diehm, the Director of the Boulder City Library reached out to let us know they are looking for a new Board Member for their Board of Trustees, and wanted us to spread the word.
The Board of Trustees is made up of five members appointed by the Clark County Commissioners who will serve a four-year term with the possibility of being re-appointed. The Board regularly meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7 PM in the Board Room of the Library. During the month of May, the Nevada Revised Statutes require that the budget meeting be held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Additional committee meetings and special meetings may be held as needed. You can contact a current Trustee directly as well as view the agenda and minutes for previous meetings of the Board of Trustees on their website HERE.
Applications are available at the Library’s Information Desk, or a complete packet (will need to be unzipped) can be downloaded HERE. They can be returned to the Library District or sent to the address at the bottom of the application.
To be considered for the Board, interested candidates should return the application with a service resume by Wednesday, January 8th @ 5 PM (if turning into the Library) and plan to attend the Library Board Meeting on Wednesday, January 15th @ 7 PM. To be eligible to serve a candidate must reside within the city limits of Boulder City, Nevada.
If you have the time and skills, it’s a great way to give back to our community, and help serve a very important local institution here in Boulder City!
