Probably just like you, we’ve been sticking our heads in over at the Browder Building and the future location of Big T’s Cantina! Watching the progress has been amazing and we got a few moments with Tony and family to hear what’s planned. So naturally we’re gonna give you the scoop too!
First off, pictured above that’s Tony with his two daughters, Casey (right) and Dylan (left) along with baby Kallon. Dylan will be behind the scenes but Casey you’ll likely see along with Tony when they are up and running. Casey is also the one with the artistic talents that has painted all of those gorgeous murals you see throughout.
The tile on the bar front is a standout, and check this carefully folks – those are the original wood floors there from the early days of the Browder Building. They’ve simply cleaned them up a bit and varnished over them so you can still see some of their history alive and well, and ready to greet us all with new life.
There’s a huge outdoor patio they are finishing off, and you’ll be able to enter not only through their front door but the side outdoor patio as well. He’s got plenty of seating both indoors and out.
But beyond the amazing decor, what we’re so thrilled about is the menu! They’re holding this close to the vest still, but Tony and his partners tell us that this will be traditional Mexican fare, but with some unique twists and special offerings that sounded simply mouthwatering! Not to mention of course plenty of specialty margaritas and other goodness to wet your whistle with!
If you don’t know, they’re located next to Tony’s Pizza, at 550 Nevada Way, and also their next door neighbor, which is also part of the original Browder Building, will be opening soon too! (We’ll be showing you how that’s going shortly…)
A soft opening is tentatively planned for around the 14-15th of December, with a ‘friends and family’ round to help get their legs under them. We’ll keep you posted when they roll their doors open, and we have to tell you we just cannot wait to enjoy this new spot in town! Wish them well folks!
