The Boulder City American Legion Post 31 and the Auxiliary Unit 31 needs some additional volunteers to help them this Memorial Day Weekend.
Each and every year they place flags on the markers of veterans at the local Boulder City Cemetery at the corner of Utah and Adams.
Saturday morning they place the flags, and then on Memorial Day, Monday, at 9am there is a service. Afterwards on Monday afternoon, they again remove the flags from the grave markers and store them until next year.
For a variety of reasons, this year they are short on hands and could use our help!
They need some additional volunteers to help in both setting up and tearing down after the event. They also need just a few pick-up trucks to help haul chairs and other items.
Saturday:
Trucks and hands – Legion Hall at 8am
Setting flags – 9am at the cemetery
Monday:
Flag removal and transport – after 2pm
If you can assist them, please contact them in advance – Glenn Feyen at fxrpair@gmail.com or by phone at 623-229-3098.
