You’ve been hearing about it for months now – and finally we’re thrilled to announce that the Boulder City Express shuttle service between Las Vegas and Boulder City will begin operations this weekend!
First, let’s get you the important links and information. Everything you need to know is on their web site HERE. They’ve set up a great little (well, big actually…) online booking system that seems to be pretty straight forward and easy to use. For those who prefer an ‘analog’ hard copy to print out and keep, you can DOWNLOAD IT NOW.
The bottom line is this – visitors to Las Vegas can now book a series of different tours to explore some of our key points of interest and adventures – including a visit to our Historic Downtown District, easily online, and all for far less than the cost of renting a car or even taking a ride-share service such as Uber or Lyft!
Here’s a screen shot – you can choose to be picked up at any of 11 different Las Vegas hotel locations. Then you can pick from several different drop off spots in Boulder City, shown below. Then you pick your times, pay for the ticket(s) and you’re off and running!
They also created a series of packages for popular tours to be able to piggy-back on each other. This way visitors can take in more than one attraction at a time! And…for those who are savvy at business and math and stuff, that means of course that our outfitters and National Park are keeping these visitors here longer, meaning they spend more money $$$! Doesn’t that make you smile!
Visitors can choose from:
- Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Cruises
- Hoover Dam and Flightlinz Bootleg Canyon
- Hoover Dam and Black Canyon Rafting
All of these vendors employ local folks and are important to our economy. And prior to this type of service, a visitor would have to book these things on their own, figure out how to get from point A to B, etc. Now these obstacles are overcome.
Boulder City-ites – this is potentially HUGE for us here in town! So we’re asking all of you to actively spread the word on this. Tell everyone you know and your friends and family from far away who like to come to Vegas, but tend to never leave ‘Sin City’.
Everyone is invited to the Boulder City Express Grand Opening Party! This will be out at the Flightlinz/Chilly Jilly’z parking lot next Monday, March 18th at 5:30 pm. Come and meet the company and it’s organizers, have a little food and drink, and get to see one of the coaches and enjoy yourselves.
Lastly, we wanted to personally give a shout out to the folks at the National Park Express who believe in Boulder City and our area as a worthy destination for travelers. We also wanted you all to know that Jill Lagan, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce played a huge roll in pulling this together, along with the cooperation of our local outfitters in the area, as well as the folks from Lake Mead National Rec. Area and the Hoover Dam. It took a lot of work behind the scenes these past months, so be sure you give them all a great big ‘Congrats’ for pulling this together!
