Hard to believe it, but it was January 4th, 1960 when Boulder City was officially incorporated, now sixty years ago!
It didn’t happen overnight though. The idea was first floated and an actual plan of action to make this a reality all the way back on November 4th, 1951. In May of 1955, public hearings were held at the historic Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Building. But it was another four years before the process was complete.
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, at 6pm, on Saturday, January 4, 2020 there will be an Incorporation Celebration at the Parks and Rec. Building in the Old Gymnasium.
There will be a presentation by Dennis McBride, along with trivia and lots of classic photos, music, birthday cake, and more. Swing by and share in the fun and give our little town a virtual pat on the back for becoming the place we love to call home.
