The Rotary Club of Boulder City will be partnering with the Rotary Clubs of Friendswood, and Humble, Texas for a Hurricane Relief Fundraiser for those two communities so devastated by the flooding from Hurricane Harvey in August, 2017.
The club will begin raising funds over the next few months starting in front of the Boulder Dam Credit Union. Currently their plan is to be there on Fridays during the Credit Union’s business hours.
The club will collect funds and forward the money to the clubs in Texas after the first of the year. This way the recipient clubs will have adequate time to review applications from those individuals and organizations that deserve the assistance.
Their hope in doing this is so that as a club to club effort they’ll be able to identify the recipients, and thus the help given will be more personally connected and those who give will feel more connected rather than through larger organizations and efforts.
The Rotary Club of Boulder City will also be collecting non-perishable foods for the Boulder city Emergency Aid. So bring non-perishable foods, and cash to help.
