Calling all citizens and would-be actors! Spread the word on this for what sounds like it should be quite fun…
The Boulder City Historical Society & Arts Foundation will be presenting a production of a REAL murder mystery that took place in Boulder City in the 1940’s. The actual production will run in April, 2019, and when we have info on the tickets, etc. we’ll get that to you then.
But on January 19th, (2019) will be the open auditions to cast all the roles for the production. This takes place at the Boulder City Library, but you’ll need to contact them for you time slot in advance. You can do that on their Facebook Post HERE or by calling 702-461-6842.
When we spoke with organizer and President Ray Turner, he told us that he is looking to bring in a variety of both professional trained actors, along with a good dose of real Boulder City locals – just regular folks – who have some acting inclination.
Mind you, this is all volunteer time – it’s not a paid gig.
More detailed information and the list of characters, as well as the script, will be sent to those interested in auditioning. Again, you can sign up HERE.
Minor ( Cameo) speaking roles are also available for volunteers to assist in the operation of the event. Ray says he encourages all age ranges to consider small roles, as they too are an important part of this production.
Personally, we can’t wait to see the finished production, and look forward to seeing what this inventive group can create!
