Lot’s of us like to head down to Willow Beach to chill out and feel like we’ve gotten away from town, even if only for a little while.
But as some you know, that road can be a bit sketchy during monsoon season and has struggled with numerous wash-outs. So for those of you who like to recreate out there, the Lake Mead National Rec. Area is asking for public comment and feedback on developing a plan to improve that road. The goal would be to create a better road that’s more cost effective for them, but also of course won’t get clobbered in a storm.
Comments and recommendations are welcome through September 19th, and they’ve got an online form you can fill out HERE, or send comments by good old fashioned mail to: Lake Mead National Recreation Area, ATTN: Planning and Compliance Office, 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV 89005.
