Here’s a fun Friday night diversion for ya – go take in a Home Run Derby out at the Hemenway Park (401 Ville Drive) baseball field starting at 6pm.
Contestants can also still sign up – you have to call in advance at (702)293-9254 or (702)508-1297 for your slot. Anyone over the age of 16 can participate, and you have to bring your own pitcher. The cost is $10/batter.
There will be two brackets, one for men and the other for women and it will be a zone hitting format.
Spectators are encouraged to watch from up top, socially distanced of course. Let’s see if we have any budding Mike Trout’s in our midst – Play Ball!
