We’re so happy to share that our own lil’ ole Boulder City Chamber of Commerce CEO, Jill Lagan, has received an important appointment to the Nevada Commission on Tourism!
This distinction is well earned, and makes her one of only eight appointees statewide. Ms. Lagan has also served as the President/Director of the Boulder City Economic Vitality Commission and the Board Director of the Western Association of Chamber Executives.
From the recent press release:
Led by Lt. Gov. Kate Marshall, the Nevada Commission on Tourism consists of eight members appointed by Gov. Steve Sisolak and also includes members of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, the chair of the board of Museums and History, the chair of the Nevada Indian Commission and the chair of the board of the Nevada Arts Council. The governor appoints at least one member who resides in Clark County and Washoe County and at least two members who are residents of counties with 100,000 people or less.
Many of you know Jill, and if you don’t, then you’re simply missing out! A Boulder City native, she grew up here and graduated from BCHS and worked in a variety of capacities, including running her own event planning business and managed marine operations out at Lake Mead.
You can visit the chamber in their NEW location down at the Nevada Welcome Center, located at 100 Nevada Way in Boulder City. Their web site is HERE and you can also call them at 702-293-2034 to learn more.
Congratulations Jill!
