Flapjacks is the name of the game on Monday, July 4th at 7am in Bicentennial Park because that’s where we’ll be kickin’ off the 2011 Damboree Festivities!
And check this out…since the Noon Rotary is sponsoring the breakfast and I’m a member of that club…guess who will be serving ’em up instead of eating them…drat!
After the Pancake Breakfast (7am) in Bicentennial Park, we have the July 4th Celebration Parade, which will begin at 9am at Colorado and Nevada Hwy. It’ll cruise down Nevada Hwy. to Fifth Street and end up at Broadbent Park (Avenue B. & Fifth Street). Boulder City Veteran’s Flying Group will be doing a flyover at 9:05 – so be sure and look up! If you would like to submit an application for the parade, you can find that by clicking here.
Daytime festivities take place from 10am – 4pm at Broadbent Memorial Park (1301 5th St.) with booths, food, drink & games presented by various non-profit groups around town. For a complete schedule of the festivities, you can download a full PDF of the day’s events by clicking here.
Nighttime festivities kick off at 6:00pm over at Veteran’s Memorial Park with more food, fun, a water park and competitive games. There will be live music from Michelle Blanchard and Heels Over Head and of course the annual fireworks show at 9:00pm!
Below is an Event Map for the daytime events and if you’d like a larger version of it — just click on it and a BIG THANKS to Patty Sullivan over at Parks & Rec for sending all these great attachments to share with ya’ll!
