New Boulder City resident Tom Devlin has opened his new Monster Museum this month located at 1310 Nevada Highway!
Tom has a long history working in Los Angeles in Sci-Fi movies and television, and got his career start on the famous “X-Files” TV show. He’s an artist who works with rubber and silicone instead of marble, to create fantastic creatures, zombies, and monsters.
Growing up as a youngster he was always fascinated by, and had a true love of, monsters and all things creepy! Your tour is like a walk through time. He takes you from his earliest childhood inspirations, the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Toxic Crusaders” all the way through to some of our most famous current modern movie horror characters.
Tom’s even got one scary feature that resembles himself, but you’ll have to take the tour to figure it out!
Tom emphasizes that the place is fully ‘family friendly’ and that this is not a ‘house of horrors’ environment.
He has plans for expansion, and he says that for Halloween they are planning to have a late night “haunted house” set up for thrill seekers! (Keep your eye’s peeled for that word!)
Also…don’t forget to check out his costume assortment! (I’m thinkin’ we know where our next party costumes are coming from…)
Tours are available for $13 and children under the age of 10 are FREE! Hours are 10-6 daily.
