We’ve had some pretty cool new businesses open in town these past few months – but this one might be one of our favorites!
Meet Mike and Angee Collins who are the most awesome nerds you’ll ever want to know! That is – aside from their customers.
Don’t miss this weekend’s Grand Opening of My 4 Sons Comics Cards & Games store located out in the Chilly Jilly’z plaza at 1646 Boulder City Pkwy. Because, this Saturday, July 13th beginning at 11am will be a formal Ribbon Cutting – but with SUPER HEROES!
That’s right, on hand will be Captain America, Captain Marvel, The Black Panther and Spider-Man, all part of The Las Vegas Avengers! There will also be Stephen Costantino, a Star Wars episode 6 Gamorrean Guard Actor, plus they will have a sketch artist and lots of other fun action!
The store features all sorts of comic books, autographed and authenticated memorabilia, action figures, gaming cards and tons of games such as Pokemon, Magic and Dungeons & Dragons, to name a few.
What we like best, aside from Mike and Angee, is that this is really all about the fun and joy of playing games. They will have a regular game schedule set up 7 days a week, that is perfect for family fun for kids and adults alike. Kids can play starting as young as 6-8 years of age, all they way up through their teen years. We’re thinking it’s a PERFECT way to get the little buggers, I mean the children….occupied and having fun interacting and stretching their imaginations – but away from their screens and devices. (Remember when we would play games and have to actually interact with each other? How about that?!?)
Mike says they got into this when their four boys were young (thus, the name folks!) back when they lived in Illinois and had long winters stuck indoors with all of that kid energy to harness. So, they started gaming as a family, and out of that grew their interest and love of all things – nerdy.
It’s too hot to play out of doors these days – so we’re thinking this spot can potentially become Boulder City’s latest playground for youngsters to have fun, release some energy and interact in a safe and imaginative environment.
