Well…things are hopping here in town! There’s a new business that just moved into Boulder Dam Plaza (Chilly Jilly’z, Flightlinz, Vinnie’s Pizza) that just opened their doors a few weeks ago.
Meet Darren Mancusi and Lucia Patane and their new store Treasure Finds!
These two former New York-ers fell in love with our little town and moved into the area this November. They tell me they came out here last July (really…of all times!) and said they loved the weather! Well, now that’s saying something, right?!? They also like the schools, and so they pulled up stakes and came to Boulder City.
Darren says it felt sort of serendipitous when, he happened to ask Jill Quatrale (the Jill in Chilly Jilly’z) if she knew of anyone who was leasing commercial space – and she said yep – she did!
Back in New York, Darran had owned a gift store, and Lucia is apparently a well known hair stylist, and they had a great business together back there. Lucia is still commuting back to New York where she is slowly closing down that business, she says.
Treasure Finds has a mix of different items both new and old. She says they will gradually find what sells and adapt their business from there.
