Well, this IS exciting news! We’ve learned that there will be a new event – Restaurant Week in Boulder City, the first of it’s kind here in town! August 4th-10th there will be special dining opportunities for breakfast, lunch and dinner at participating eateries in Boulder City.
The event springs out of the Community Think Tank project that was started by the Chamber of Commerce nearly two years ago. Then recently, Cindy Ford of Southwest Diner reached out to one of her restaurant suppliers, Sysco of Las Vegas, and they decided to make it happen. Kudos to them to sponsor this and help get it all organized!
Jill Lagan, the CEO of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce tells us that this is the first of what is intended to become an annual event. Las Vegas and many other larger cities have had this concept active for a number of years, so it’s great we’re giving it a try. The general idea is that there will a variety of restaurants that will offer special meal selections, based upon their niche and style of dinning, hours, etc. We will then be able to purchase tickets in advance and enjoy these specials at the various eateries.
Which restaurants will be participating is being worked out now, and we’re hoping to see a lot of options from them. So…as these details become available we’ll keep you posted, and HERE is a link to a page set up on the Chamber web site!
