Why are we showing you the number 250?
Because, that is the new limit on gatherings for events in Clark County, Nevada as of midnight last night! Why should you care?
Because it means that the prior level of no more than 50 people has now been increased substantially, and some of our local beloved activities can resume! There are other restrictions that are also being eased:
- Gatherings of up to 250 are now allowed, excluding staff
- Live music returns
- Playground restrictions are easing up
- Realtors can now have ‘Open House’ showings
- Conventions and in-person conferences are allowed up to 1,000 people, grouped into sections of no more than 250 people in an area at a time
We have to say this is indeed huge, we think! Mind you, the facility itself and all of our restaurants, etc. are still only allowed to operate at 50% capacity. Masks are still mandatory everywhere, no groups at a table larger than 6 people are allowed, and social distancing requirements still need to be followed.
But that said…can you say “Wine Walk!?!” I bet you CAN! Both the Trunk or Treat as well as the Wine Walks will likely be returning soon! The Chamber of Commerce who organizes Trunk or Treat has nearly solidified their plans, and the Wine Walks are slated to resume in November!
Normal. Whatever that word means to you, to me, we’ll find it again slowly, together. Remember all of this can change if our Covid numbers jump back up again, but it sure feels good to share some good news! Let’s keep doing our part to support our local businesses, stay open, and enjoy beautiful Boulder City.
