Since Spring of 2010, myself and almost 2,100 Facebook Fans have been sharing information with each other on what’s happening in and around town, events that are coming up, interesting bits of news, where the weekly garage sales are, etc. Heck, we’ve even helped find a lost pet or two by getting the word out on Facebook and Twitter right away!
But we don’t want to be exclusionary — so my goal for this year was to bring the awesome community that we have on Facebook to anyone who isn’t into social media…hence, the creation of what you are looking at here….Boulder City Social.
Fear not, fellow Facebook Fans — the Facebook page will continue on as strong as ever…this page will just help bring what we’re doing to even more people. You’ll find that the home page has a cool little widget that shows the Facebook posts…but only mine. As soon as someone invents one that shows your posts on the Fan page — I’ll switch them out…that’d be cool.
