Over 1,000 Films Submitted to Dam Short Film Festival

Dam Short Film Festival Boulder City, Nevada

The 15th Annual Dam Short Film Festival will kick-off this year on February 7, 2019. By the way, it’s the largest film festival in Nevada!

If you’ve never been – it’s a major treat! This year the four-day schedule offers 133 films (the most ever) and exciting parties and events that are guaranteed to enlighten, entertain, and inspire. The Festival provides a rare opportunity to experience films in 20+ professionally programmed thematic blocks on the big screen in the beautifully-restored Boulder Theatre.

According to reviews on FilmFreeway, the leading festival submission site in the world, the Dam Short Film Festival ranks in the top 1.5% of more than 7,000 film festivals and creative contests around the world.

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to sit down with the lovely and talented Tsvetelina Stefanova, (or just simply Tsvet, from Same Sex Mary as most of us know her) who is the Director of Development for the DSFF. She told us that last year they had over 800 submissions, but that THIS year was a record breaker – with over 1,000 films submitted for their staff and volunteers to screen. Whew – that’s a lot of movie watching!

And we’ve got the List for 2019 debuting for you today HERE.

You can learn more and get your tickets at the Dam Short Film Festival web site.

Lastly, they’re of course still looking for sponsors, so if you’re a small local business owner or just someone who likes to support the arts, it’s a great way to help the DSFF and get some exposure for your business. Details for you on that can be had at the following links:
