Who said Boulder City wasn’t a gambler’s paradise?! Puh-shaw!
WE are going to be host to the 1st Annual All In 4 Spot Charity Poker Tournament on Friday, March 17th (2017) – a fundraiser for A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue (website here), See Spot Run Dog Park and the city’s animal shelter.
Sounds fun, right? Here’s how the day and evening’s events will go:
- First, there will be a dog adoption event from 2-4pm at 2 Wheels Pub (corner of Nevada Way & Wyoming).
- Happy Hour will follow (from 5-7pm, also at 2 Wheels) with Estephanie Taquizas Taco Cart serving street style tacos (Asada, Carnita, Pollo & Chorizo) with rice, beans, chips & salsas for approx. $6/plate with PBR kegs filling up 12-ounce cups for $2 each). Water & soda will also be available, of course.
- Drum Circle, provided by Jeffrey Trower & Community Productions, will be the live entertainment in the 2 Wheels gazebo from 5-7pm with crowd participation encouraged.
- Players will check in for their table assignments (and player packages containing their hat, t-shirt and event poker chips for a $120 buy-in) at 2 Wheels with the Charity Poker Tournament beginning at 6pm.
- The first 120 players will be seated at 12 tables (located at 2 Wheels, Jack’s Place and The Coffee Cup) and seats will be filled with alternate players as the first round of players bust out.
- Players will have the option to buy back in for $100 within the first 75 minutes of play.
- Alternates will be placed until the 4th level, after which there will be no new entries.
- The final table of 10 players will be located under the gazebo at 2 Wheels between 10-11pm and all 10 final table players will receive cash and/or prize awards, $500, $250, $100, Serenity Helicopter Grand Canyon Tour with Dinner for 2, more dinner packages and other prizes.
Pre-registration is available online (and is encouraged so that you can claim your seat in the first round of players) or on the day of the event at 2 Wheels.
