Did you know that the Hoover Dam Museum (located inside the Boulder Dam Hotel at 1305 Arizona Street) now has a rotating display each quarter during the year?
Currently, they’ve got this new display from the US Bureau of Mines running until March 29th.
We spoke with Tiane Marie, who is the Development Officer/ Collections Technician, and she says, “We have some of our favorite photographs on display and we have samples of metal crystals that were produced by the research laboratory to show the many types of work that they did on at the facility. All of the artifacts and photographs are from our very own archives.“
Admission to the Museum is now free, so you can take that display in and everything else they have to offer with their expanded hours, which are from 7am – 7pm Daily.
Taine also tells us that the museum has gotten some new recent attention, in that some of the tour company’s such as Pink Jeep, Big Horn and others are now making a specific stop at the Hoover Dam Museum a regular part of their tours. (Great work there folks!)
If you wish to support the museum you can ‘Join the Dam Crew’ and get all sorts of other cool information from them too. We can’t wait to share the next rotating exhibit with you, coming in early April!
