House Representative Susie Lee (Nevada District 3) met with city officials and others at the Boulder City Senior Center to discuss ways the American Rescue Plan would benefit residents of our community. She was greeted by Mayor Kiernan McManus, Fire Chief Will Gray and Police Chief Tim Shea and several residents who were also present. The American Rescue Plan funding will be used to support various community support programs including child care for working parents, utility assistance, food, rental assistance, and support for local businesses and non-profit organizations. The money will also be used for infrastructure and other projects that benefit the community.
Ms. Lee then concluded her press conference and met with local residents. Her last stopover on the brief tour including meeting Vinny Cimino, owner of Vinny’s Pizzeria. Mr. Cimino recently received a phone call from Governor Steve Sisolak advising him that his business would be a recipient of the new funding.
