Tomorrow is the day! Scratch House Restaurant opens at 8am! I went there today and everything was a flurry of activity — it was very exciting! I took some photos for you below – but it’s important to note that the chairs were arriving imminently, so the chairs you see in the photos will not be part of the permanent atmosphere.
The former Big Horn Restaurant location looks a LOT different these days – yikes. They knocked out all of the windows and put in full height sliding glass panel doors that can be opened whenever they want, combining the inside and the outside seating areas. And get this — there is an air cooling system … OUTSIDE on the patio. First class all the way, man. First class.
If the main floor of the dining area looks a lot larger to you than it did before, that’s because they ripped everything out and brought it back 6 feet. Between that and the expansive windows – the place looks massive by comparison.
Scratch House will roll out their coffee bistro, along with lunch and dinner service initially, then add breakfast service in a week or two. They’ll also have a weekend brunch service in the near future. Scratch House is located at 1300 Arizona Blvd. in Boulder City, Nevada – directly next door to the Chamber of Commerce.
