There’s so much happening in town this Saturday – we just had to pile on one more bit of ‘super-cool town haps’!
Welcome, to a new food truck over at 2 Wheels Garage Grill (567 Nevada Way) that is a true family affair – Surfside Shave Ice Company!
You’re going to love the owners Alex and Kimberly Church (pictured above with their three cute kiddos) who are opening their doors on Saturday and will feature their special shaved ice and other goodies!
To kick things off this Saturday the 21st, they plan to have yard games, music, balloons for the kids, free stickers for the first 300 guests and of course – their special shaved ice!
Kimberly says they’ve hired a lot of our local high school youths to run the place with them. Hours will be Mon-Thurs 12pm – 8pm, Friday 12pm – 9:30pm, Saturday 10am – 9:30pm, Closed Sundays. (Check ’em out on Instagram too!)
Kimberly tells us they taste tested extensively as they created their 25 specialty shaved ice flavors. They also have soft serve with a wide variety of toppings too!
What about the colder winter months? She says not to fear, they’ll come up with some delectable hot drink options when the temps drop around town. (Christmas parade, anyone?)
Honestly, I learned a lot in my conversation with them. Shaved ice isn’t just a snow cone – the process in crafting these frosty treats is actually much different, creating a unique texture she says folks will love.
