WOO HOO! We cannot thank all of YOU enough for hitting this milestone! This past week we clocked in 10,000 Facebook Fans and published our 500th weekly eNewsletter! That’s going all the way back to March 2011. Now that’s some writing, we must say.
But before we tell you about this awesome sweepstakes celebration we’re going to have for you – let’s first give credit where it’s due to the lovely, amazing and talented founder of Boulder City Social, Ms. Kathy Hicks! We reached out to her, and here’s what she had to say to all of you:
“Well, well … the 10,000 Facebook Fan milestone has arrived! I wanted to send a quick congratulations note, along with my heartfelt thanks to Jean for taking the reins of Boulder City Social and raising it as her very own after I moved across the country.
From the very beginning, BC Social was a true labor of love and soon became a fun and friendly place for our community to come together and share the many wonderful things that are a part of daily life in Boulder City. Whether we were all gearing up for the next amazing special event in town, coming together to support our local businesses, mapping out our yard sale routes, or gathering a search party to look for a lost dog at the landfill … we were the very best of communities and I’m thrilled to have been a small part of it, so thank you!
2020 has been a tough year, there is no doubt about it. But forever the optimist, I just know 2021 will be better and everyone will have the chance to get back out into Bicentennial Park together, enjoy full service at Boulder City’s great eateries, and revel in a return to all the good things that go hand in hand with living in the best dam town that side of the Colorado River!
