If you haven’t yet been to the Angora Nativity house this season, head on over there some day or evening, soon. Located at 1296 Lynwood Street, come see what’s new this year.
Rich Angora has been creating this hand crafted nativity scene since he took over from his father, going back as far to their home in Brooklyn, NY in 1956! Each year, he has adjusted the scene slightly, adding new characters, or improving things in some way.
This year, the manger building has been completely redone, and it’s more open and easy to see the classic nativity beauty inside. The backdrop of rock surrounding the scene has added depth and color this year, and some of the figures also look a bit different in their displays.
Mostly, I think Rich just loves doing this. His care for each feature is something to behold, and he loves having people come by to see it. He tells us last year was a record year – so don’t miss the opportunity to take in this very special local treasure! Oh, Holy Night.
You’ll find it also in the #2 spot on our Holiday Lights listing HERE.
