March 6 – 5:30pm After Hours Movie: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (PG): All Ages, Community Room. Snacks, comfortable chairs, and blankets are welcome. The Friends of the Library will have snacks and books available for donation.
March 7 – 1pm Hattie and Maude: Ordinary Women Living at the Turn of the 20th Century Lives All Ages, Board Room. Author/researcher Lindy S. Rose will share details from the lives of Hattie and Maude; two cousins who lived lives at opposite ends of the social spectrum at the turn of the last century. Maude enjoyed financial luxuries as part of a prominent Denver family until tragedy struck, while Hattie knew both the joys and the hardships of ranch life. Explore the true-life struggles and courageous spirt of women during this by-gone era and compare the similarities and differences to women’s experiences today.
2pm Saturday Crafternoon: Slime: Ages 5-18, Community Room. Sign-up at the information desk.
March 10 – 3pm Inspirational Mini Calendars: Grades 4-8, Board Room. Join us to make a decorative calendar!
6pm Fruit Craft and Movie: Ages 8-18, Community Room. Join us to watch “Moana” and make Kiwi Kakomoras!
March 23 – 3:30pm Learn Cursive Writing: Grades 3-5, Board Room. Learn how to read and write in cursive! Sign-ups required.
5:30pm Friends of the Library Book Social at Milo’s: Come discuss your favorite book or author with the Friends of the Boulder City Library.
March 28 – 7pm Movie in the Amphitheater: Frozen 2 (G): All Ages, Library Amphitheater. Join us for an outdoor showing of Frozen 2! Snacks, comfortable chairs, and blankets are welcome. The Friends of the Library will have snacks and books available for donation.
