Two Upcoming Public Meetings – Both on February 12th

Two Public Meetings Boulder City, Nevada

We wanted to be sure you all knew about two upcoming public meetings here in town that are open to all to attend.

Boulder City Community Think Tank

The Boulder City Community Think Tank will have its 3rd Quarterly meeting on marketing Boulder City. The event is hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, and will be held on Monday, February 12st at the Elaine K. Smith Center (located at 700 Wyoming Street) from 6-8pm.

This has been an on-going community project that began last August, and then the second meeting was held in October. A variety of smaller sub-committees have been formed and have each been working on a series of projects. This meeting will be an update and continuation of the work done so far. However, even if you have not yet been to a meeting, all are encouraged to attend!

You can read more about the first Community Think Tank and it’s mission from our first post HERE.

Boulder City Aquatic and Cultural Center

The second Community Outreach Meeting for the planned Aquatic and Cultural Center also has meetings on Monday, February 12th. The main meeting will be at the City Hall Council Chambers from 6-7:30pm.

Other specialized focus group meetings centered on specific topics will be held during the day of the 12th , at the Parks & Rec. Multi-use Building at 1204 6th Street. They are as follows:

  • Water Aerobics – 3-3:30 pm
  • Swim Team – 3:30-4pm
  • Racquetball Users – 4-4:30pm
  • Lap Swimmers – 4:30 to 5pm

It’s a bummer these two meetings were scheduled at the same times, and we’ll hope that doesn’t happen again!

For now, those who really want to be involved in both can pick a buddy and ‘divide and conquer’ (so to speak), and each attend a different meeting and then share your notes after!
