This year, more than ever, our folks out at the Southern Nevada State Veterans Home really need us! This Wednesday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day, and we’ve got the low-down on the events they have planned to show our appreciation for our Veterans and residents of the home.
Here’s what’s on tap, and how you can participate:
- 9:30- 10:15 is a Parade featuring The Boulder City Police department, Animal Control, the Mounted Police Unit, K9’s, and the Classic Car clubs
- 10:15-11:30 the Community can participate in the parade and show support for our veterans, by decorating their car, making signs or simply waving hello
Our Mayor, Kiernan McManus will be on hand as well and will likely say a few words.
All participants must stay in their vehicles and of course all distancing requirements will be followed given that these folks are definitely considered higher-risk for exposure to COVID-19.
Nonetheless, let’s all please remember that these folks served our Country, and now we have the opportunity to show them our appreciation in what has been an especially challenging time. Let’s see you out there Boulder City!
