There is an interesting article in the Las Vegas Review Journal outlining a big hurdle for the Boulder City Bypass project — that the ‘right-of-way’ costs could exceed $100 million, per the Dept. of Transportation.
The article says a big chunk of money involves “inverse condemnation” – which is apparently when property owners seek compensation for the adverse effects on their property caused by the project, so that’s pretty interesting.
