Thursday, December 5th
Luminaria and Las Posadas
December 5th at 6:00PM, at the Elaine K Smith Building (1400 Wyoming Street), is where the Boulder City United Methodist Church hosts the Boulder City Luminaria and Las Posadas. There will be local school choir performances, a living nativity and Christmas carol sing-a-long. Hot cocoa is also served.
Friday, December 6th
Lights On at the Ryan-Musgrave House on Fifth
Time for the lighting of the Christmas House! Make sure you get there (1525 Fifth Street) at 5:15PM! Santa, along with Jingle Cat, will all be there too! (For a listing of other homes in Boulder City decked out for visitors, check out this page HERE.)
Christmas Tree Lighting
After, head up to Frank Crowe Park (537 Cherry Street) for the 6:00PM lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, where you can also enjoy live entertainment and hot chocolate.
Saturday, December 7th
Doodlebug Bazaar & Santa’s Picture Party
The 49th Annual Doodlebug Bazaar at the Parks and Recreation Gymnasium (900 Arizona Street) runs Saturday, December 7th from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. It features a variety of more than 140 artisans and vendors: clothing, jewelry, decorations and more. Also at the event from 11:00AM to 2:00PM you can get your picture taken with Santa (999 Colorado Street)!
Santa’s Electric Night Parade
Come to the Boulder City Historic District on Nevada Way, and beginning at 4:30PM is one of the highlights of the season for Santa’s Electric Night Parade as spectacular floats, marching bands, holiday characters, live performances, and all kinds of fantastic spectacles to put you in the Holiday Spirit!
Parade of Lights
If you’re not done watching amazing and creative light displays, head down to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the Boulder Beach at 6:30PM, where you’ll see a parade of local vessels all lit up for the season!
Wednesday, December 14th
WIne Walk Ugly Sweater Contest
Beginning at 3:30PM, explore the downtown Historic District and visit the various businesses while in your ugliest Christmas sweater! You can find out more about this event. Check in at Frank Crowe Park (537 Cherry Street).
Weekends Throughout December
The BC Santa Express will be running every weekend from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Each trip includes a photo opportunity with Santa Claus, storytelling, hot chocolate and treats. You must purchase your tickets in advance by clicking HERE. The Nevada State Railroad Museum is located at 601 Yucca Street.
