Well, figuratively speaking. Folks who passed by the Boulder City Social booth at Spring Jamboree last weekend saw an open care package destined for our troops in Afghanistan…right beside a donation jar to help collect the postage needed to get them delivered.
I’m excited to report that we rung up $182.49 in donations between Saturday and Sunday — which will cover the cost of sending 42 boxes on their way this next week. Yay!
Let’s send a few props out to some folks for helping Stanna with her project…Police Chief Finn made a donation that sent 54 boxes overseas and word on the street is that the Boulder City Sunrise Rotary not only went shopping for box contents from the wish list – they made a club project of packing up the boxes and getting them shipped out. Nice job, Sunrise!
Stanna gave me a list of other businesses and people that she wanted to give a thank you and recognition to, so here they are for ya…feel free to thank them when you’re next in there!
