Think Boulder City Social will be around for a 97th birthday? Just 93.5 years left to go!!
But the National Park Service turns 97 this Sunday (August 25th, 2013) and to celebrate, admission to all national parks, including Lake Mead National Recreation Area, is free.
And what’s a birthday without cake? It will be served at the Alan Bible Visitor Center after 10 a.m., while supplies last. Rangers at the visitor center will also host National Park trivia games throughout the day. At the Alan Bible Visitor Center, the Western National Parks Association Bookstore will offer a 15 percent discount on bookstore items, such as books, postcards, T-shirts and other gifts.
The fine print…of course is that fee-free days only apply to entrance fees. Fees for camping, lake use or use of concessions still apply. For more info, just call (702) 293-8990!
