Hear Ye! Hear Ye!! Hah…I’ve always wanted to do that on here!
Boulder City’s Public Works Department reached out to me today to ask me to help spread the word about this weekend’s anticipated freeze and (hopefully, for me) snow. Oh man, I hope it snows!!!
Anyway, BCPW has received a few calls regarding ice on sidewalks in some of the neighborhoods in Boulder City and while they wanted to pass along that BC’s Landscape Division staff has already halted all watering in City parks or switched to daytime watering…it’s still a potential problem in residential neighborhoods, as the water runs off frozen landscape and onto the sidewalk where folks can slip on it and really hurt themselves.
So if as many people as possible can turn off their irrigation systems or switch to daytime watering in this next week – it would help minimize the potential danger. And if you DO have ice on walks near you – the recommendation is to put salt out on it.
Thanks, everyone and repeat after me: LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!
