You may have heard there was a solar eclipse in North America today. Well, one of our intrepid readers, Peter Starkweather, captured this fantastic event and shared the image with us. This was a partial solar eclipse for those of us residing in southern Nevada, meaning the sun wasn’t fully blacked out by the moon.

Taken with: Nikon D800, Nikkor 300mm f/2.8, Nikon Teleconverter TC-14Eii, filter Baader AstroSolar. Taken here in Boulder City and the max time was Max: 11:18. Started shooting at 10:19 and it ended at 12:25.
