The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is collecting new school supplies for elementary and junior high school students. Items collected will be given to Emergency Aid for distribution to those in need. All donations need to be dropped off by Tuesday, July 15.
From AAUW:
School will be here before you know it, though it seems like it just recessed, so it’s time to extend our hands to the needy and give generously to the children in our community by donating school supplies! The Boulder City Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) is, once again, collecting school supplies and backpacks for the local Emergency Aid. Every July the group collects items needed by our students, backpacks, papers of various types, notebooks and writing implements, and each year the items are well received and well-used by the students. Linda Gardner has graciously offered to store our donations at her home again (835 Temple Rock Ct.). Please refer to the attached flyer for items that are needed; specifically, have set a goal of 30 backpacks (empty) and 30 wireless mice for children to use with their laptops/Chromebooks. Please consider quality when selecting your donations: backpacks go through a lot of wear and tear, and we want them to last the entire school year! Thank you for your generosity in investing in our future: our community school children. We collect for all age levels, so don’t forget crayons and glue sticks, too. If you are out shopping, how about throwing in some needed items and getting them to AAUW through your friends or dropping them to Linda before the 15th of July?
Please bring your school supplies to Linda’s no later than JULY 15. We appreciate your cooperation and dedication to make this the best AAUW School Supplies Drive ever! Have questions or need extra assistance? Please give Pam Noonan a call at 702-526-8877 or Linda 541-480-1999.
