AAUW Hosts Wine and Chocolate Tasting April 18

The Boulder City chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be hosting a Wine and Chocolate Tasting event at Boulder Dam Hotel on Saturday, April 18 from 5:30PM to 8:30PM. The event raises money for scholarships for local women furthering their education. Tickets are available for only $25 beginning today (April 3) at Boulder Dam Hotel. The hotel is located at 1305 Arizona Street.

AAUW Boulder City's Annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting will be held April 18, 2026 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Boulder Dam Hotel Patio, 1305 Arizona St.  The event is a springtime favorite in Boulder City, since 2008.  Not only fun, the Tasting is a fundraiser for AAUW Scholarships for local college students, continuing their education.  This event, along with the Fall Home Tour, has helped AAUW (American Association of University Women, Boulder City Branch) provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships in their 87 years in Boulder City. Currently, eight students are using these AAUW Scholarships at Nevada State University and University of Nevada Reno, working on their Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.

Tickets are available at the Boulder Dam Hotel desk, April 3, or from members.  The $25 ticket donation secures a souvenir wine glass, and the opportunity to sample an assortment of wonderful wines and scrumptious chocolates during the event.  There will be soprano saxophone music, by Jim Lind, with his wife Mary assuring audience members hear what they would like, and offering snippets of information about the songs.  A stimulating silent auction will round out the evening, including varied items and prices, gift certificates for local businesses, and admission to Leadership and STEAM Camps at Nevada State University.  AAUW will take cash or checks at the door and for Silent Auction items.  Remember musician tips, too.
