I went up to the Animal Shelter this morning to photograph a furry friend in need of a home…but both available dogs were SO sweet, I couldn’t choose between them! That being said, I have TWO adoptable pets to show you today!
First…Bunny. She’s so sweet, it’s ridiculous. She’s a Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix who is approximately 3 years old. She’s both kid and other pet friendly – having come from a house with many other pets. She’s completely house-broken and has no issues…her owners simply could no longer provide a home for her, so they brought her in for adoption to a loving family. I was thinking she’d be a barker, but she didn’t make a peep the whole time I was there, FYI. Oh, and she’s apparently a snuggler, so be prepared to fight for your bed space!
And then there is Lacey – a bundle of one-year old black lab mix energy! It’s hard to say what that “mix” is of, but it’s not pitbull or chow…that we can tell. She’s approximately 1 year old, is good with other dogs, plays ball and follows commands (although the required duration of the word ‘stay’ is clearly open to her interpretation)! Being virtually a puppy, she’s really active and would thrive in an active home with kids who could tire her out! Lacey was found more than a week ago and indications are that she was abandoned – so she’s a little scared when you first meet her, but gets over that lickety-split!
The adoption fee for either Bunny or Lacey is $66 with $58 of that being rebated from our fine local vets – so there’s a whole lotta love here for $8!
