We wanted to take a minute to thank the folks at Emergency Aid of Boulder City for all they do for our community!
It’s the Holiday Season, and we’re all used to the quintessential tradition (in most communities) of the Salvation Army, and their volunteer bell ringers with their traditional red kettles. We all love to stuff our small bills and spare change into them and know we’re doing a good thing. It is, an American tradition.
But did you realize that four years ago, the Salvation Army met with the folks at Emergency Aid and struck a deal where Emergency Aid now runs and receives 100% of the donations? They’re at the Boulder Dam Credit Union and in front of Albertson’s for the rest of the season.
That’s Jack Edwards on the right, (along with a few other wonderful volunteers) who coordinates so much for Emergency Aid, and of course makes sure they have volunteers manning both locations when they are open. Be sure to stop by, share a Holiday good wish, and donate as much as you can! #shoplocal #givelocal #wearebc
