If you haven’t ever popped over to the Gingerwood area of Boulder City to see Richard Angora’s Nativity scene…it really is worth checking out.
Richard took over the family tradition of building the 12-foot by 8-foot display from his dad a couple of years ago – his father built the first nativity scene in 1956! Richard said he was nine when his father was first inspired to create the display, and it’s been with them ever since.
Over time, it’s evolved and moved many, many times: from it’s inception in Brooklyn, NY to Florida, California, and eight different locations in Nevada, until 8 years ago when Richard and his family settled in Boulder City.
The display has running water, music and is incredibly detailed, including all of the papier-mache figurines. Clearly a labor of love for the Angora family, so be sure to check it out in the coming weeks.
The display is on after dusk for everyone to enjoy at 1296 Lynwood Street. Click here for a Google map!
