Annual Autumn Garden Festival Tomorrow, October 17

Join the gardeners of the Community Gardens for their annual Autumn Garden Festival and Plant Sale! This takes place at the Community Gardens this Saturday, October 17 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM. The gardens are located at 300 Railroad Avenue. There will be many activities for adults and children, including a scavenger hunt and garden walk and talks, ABCs of composting, and the ever-popular kids garden and worm farm.
They will also have special projects, like:
- Plantable seed paper
- Hummingbird feeder kits
- Cup of Boulder City Joe plant super food
- Propagation kits for hollyhocks, rosemary, honeysuckle, Mexican petunia and more!
The theme for October is Butterflies and Pollinators so there will be Mojave Desert native plants, cactus, vegetables, herbs, and pollinator-supporting plants for sale! One gallon and four-inch milkweeds will be available as well as Penstemon. Now’s the time to plant for our local and migrating pollinators, plus get your cool weather garden going.
Make your plans to visit tomorrow!
