You might remember that the renaming of Nevada Highway to ‘Boulder City Parkway’ was one of the projects undertaken in an effort to educate Interstate 11 travelers that Boulder City was a destination easily within their reach (much the way that the name ‘Summerlin Parkway’ serves as a marketing tool for their fair part of the city).
Well, along with a new name will be the completion of the beautification plan that was done from the corner of Nevada Hwy & Buchanan into the historic downtown area. The Boulder City Public Works department recently unveiled some artist renderings and initial project concepts at a Chamber of Commerce networking and so naturally, I got my hot little hands on it for ya!
Below is a rather long layout map and some images I’ve pieced together from the original rendering, so it’s probably easier to CLICK HERE to open a PDF version I’ve made for ya. You can also find the original document, along with additional information on the City of Boulder City’s website by CLICKING HERE.
And lastly, a “Boulder City Revitalization Open House” has been scheduled for January 11th (2017) from 5-7pm at the Elaine K. Smith Center so that both the business and residential community can give input on this endeavor. Enjoy!
