Next Monday, August 21st from 6-8pm at the Elaine K. Smith Building, there will be a very special event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
So, what is a ‘Think Tank’ you ask? It’s defined as “a body of experts providing advice and ideas on specific economic problems.”
With the coming of the Interstate 11 interchange, Jill Lagan, CEO of the Chamber, is pulling together this event to bring the community together to brainstorm on what makes Boulder City special, and marketable.
“There are so many ideas and projects that could and should be in play, but may not have made it to the right group or person to see them come to fruition. This type of an event can be an excellent opportunity to create a clearing-house for all ideas to be managed, worked through, and action taken. People want to be a part of a solution, not just talk about what “they should do”. The “theys” are “us”. We need to all be a part and this will be the beginning of many actions to come.”
This will be a first-of-its-kind event here in Boulder City. The Chamber of Commerce is inviting all of the citizens of Boulder City to participate, as well as of course all members of the Chamber.
The Elaine K Smith Building is located at 700 Wyoming Street.
