And Tah-DAH! The inaugural fundraising event at the new 2 Wheels location will be this coming Saturday, February 27th from 6-9pm!
As many folks will recall, the Boulder City High School Rodeo Club had some challenges a few years back (sticky fingers by former leadership) and it’s been hard for them to bounce back on their fundraising, so their selection as the inaugural event at 2 Wheels is fantabulous.
Everyone is invited to come out and join them for free hot dogs, sodas, chips and to break in Milo’s new fire pit by making s’mores galore — donations will be gladly and graciously accepted, of course. All proceeds donated at the event will go directly to the Boulder City High School Rodeo Club, which currently consists of: Jarad Sanford, Rachel Rohay, Mackenzie Cowan, Reilly Nelson, and Bailey Trohdal. Matt Sanford and Derrick Dixon are the current Club Directors.
And speaking of rodeo riders, you’re also welcome to spend some time at the 24th Annual Boulder City Rodeo this weekend and you might want to, as I understand this will likely be the last one for a few years as no one has stepped forward to take over leadership after this year.
Kicking off at 9am on Saturday and 8am on Sunday, this event is also FREE and includes over 125 kids (6th – 12th grade) from all over the state of Nevada competing in all the same events of the NFR, as well as pole bending, goat tying, ribbon roping and breakaway steer riding. The rodeo will be held at the Boulder City Horseman’s Association (which I hear has a killer cook shack) — the address is 1 Corral Road, (just off San Felipe).
