The 17th Annual Best Dam Barbecue Challenge is looking for local residents willing to become certified judges by the Kansas City Barbeque Society for their event on May 28 and 29. The judge certification class will take place on Thursday, May 27th from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Boulder City Senior Center. Food will be provided by legendary local barbecue restaurant, Fox Smokehouse BBQ. To sign up for the certification class, go here: The Kansas City Barbeque Society. Once certified, judges can apply to judge at events around the country! There have been judges at past events from as far away as Rhode Island! Several of the judges certified on Thursday will be eligible to judge this year’s event.
In addition to judges, the Rotary Club of Boulder City, organizer of this annual event, are looking for sponsors, vendors, adult contestants and children to participate in the Kids Cue Challenge. To find out more about these opportunities visit the event website: bestdambarbecue.com.
