We are so happy to share that the Flamingo Inn Motel location is now in the hands of new owners who have big plans for that spot – and check this – it won’t be operating as a motel any longer! If you don’t already know them, please meet Daren and Donna Saunders!
Sadly, this has become a bit of an eye-sore in town located right on our main drag at 804 Nevada Way, as it has been vacant and not operational for at least a decade. However after a whole series of recent events the property finally was able to go up for auction and these two have snapped it up.
Daren is the one with the vision here. He is planning to create a class car garage/destination spot for enthusiasts, and we know we have a bunch of folks who are members of local car clubs. So this is intended to give them a showroom and gathering area. All the existing rooms will be completely gutted and obviously the building will need to undergo a bunch of updates.
We’ll keep you posted as this vision begins to take shape, and work on demolition is set to begin in the fall. Congratulations folks and we can’t wait to see what you do with the place!
