Ya gotta love this kid. Every year, since he was 5, 11-year old Blaze Trumble has collected blankets and jackets (new or clean, gently used) and donated them to the homeless and needy through Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
Last year’s collections reached over 700 and Blaze hopes to surpass that number this year by recruiting 20 members of his baseball team to each bring 10 blankets and/or jackets. He’s going viral at 11 years old…love it.
Donation boxes are located around Boulder City at these locations for anyone who wants to support the project:
- Boulder Dam Brewing Company
- Boulder Dam Credit Union
- Christian Center Church
- The Coffee Cup
- Plaza Realty
You can also drop off your donation directly at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission (480 West Bonanza Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89106).
The donation boxes will be picked up on Tuesday, November 26th…so be sure to drop off your donation before that. Blaze, his family and baseball friends will distribute the blankets and jackets the following day.
